There is no doubt that youth are impacted by their teachers and providers. Think of the number of hours you spend with a child teaching them, supporting them when they are upset, being excited with them as they discover something new, and helping them navigate developing social and emotional skills!
Wise Connections for Educators has been created to increase an understanding of how valuable your relationship is with a child. Educators have walked away from this training with increased insight for both themselves and their style of working with children. As well, being able to look at a child as an individual and ways to successfully support this child's range of emotional needs.
This workshop addresses how the brain works, why youth act the way they do, what it is like to feel frustrated as a provider with a child who is overwhelmed with emotions and has high needs, and how you can support yourself and concurrently guide and support the child.
