You, and your child(ren), deserve to start out this journey with a strong foundation. This foundation strengthens as you:
  • better understand your own experience in becoming a parent,
  • process complex perinatal and birthing experiences,
  • increase understanding of emotional needs and skills to handle overwhelming emotions, and
  • how to nurture a healthy attachment between you and your child.

The challenges of being a parent can feel overwhelming. It can feel emotionally exhausting when your infant or toddler is screaming and fussy, having irregular sleep patterns, demanding your time and energy, or not meeting developmental milestones. In addition, these demands can be experienced exponentially if you or your child experienced a traumatic birthing experience or other trauma during pregnancy or early childhood, or if you are experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety. Together we can address challenging emotional experiences, and work to heal past wounds and provide a foundation from which you, and your child, can move forward.

Through evidence-based therapeutic approaches, therapy supports you in feeling emotionally strong and confident. It also strengthens the attachment relationship between your child and you which is the most valuable gift you could provide your child.

I have specialized training in supporting women and families as they adjust with the life transition of adding a child(ren) to your family. This work builds on your strengths to process emotional, physical, and spiritual changes during this time. My style of therapy combines support, education, and therapeutic guidance.

Sessions can be home-based or via teletherapy to continue to provide the support needed yet valuing the obstacles of meeting outside of your home.
